LADS Renewed | Discover What's New in 2026
You asked and we delivered: we’ve expanded our scope to publish full research articles!
Latin American Data in Science (LADS) maintains a multidisciplinary reviewer community to strengthen editorial quality and promote open, data-driven science. If you hold a Master’s or PhD and are interested in providing technical, constructive reviews, we would be glad to have you in our reviewer pool.
Data Papers (primary format): manuscripts focused on describing a dataset and its metadata, including how the data were generated/collected, how they are organized and documented, and their potential for reuse.
Research Articles (with mandatory data sharing): manuscripts presenting scientific objectives and findings, conditional upon sharing a robust, well-documented dataset that is openly available.
Meaningful impact: help ensure research data and data packages are publishable, understandable, and reusable.
Recognition: with your authorization, we may list your name and institution as a reviewer (we do not publish your email address).
Reviewer benefits: LADS reviewers may receive bonuses in the form of publication discounts, regardless of whether the reviewed manuscript is accepted.
Network and collaboration: connect with a broad, multidisciplinary community of researchers.
Confidentiality: do not share submitted content or use it for personal advantage.
Conflicts of interest: disclose any potential conflicts (personal, institutional, academic, or financial) and decline if needed.
Rigor and respect: provide objective, technical, constructive feedback with clear recommendations for authors and editors.
Realistic timelines: you can always accept or decline invitations based on your availability.
